various leadership roles. He is one of a select few Nigerians to have both
executive management and board level experience within Nigeria’s diverse
electricity distribution and generation value chains. At Abuja Electricity
Distribution Company, he helped manage a 4,000-person organization, achieving
cost savings and regulatory compliance while improving employee and customer
satisfaction.
His tenure as Managing Director and CEO of Shelter Suites
& Hotels Ltd saw a remarkable 300% increase in revenue within four years,
alongside the successful construction of a major hotel project. Faruk has also
held influential board positions, including at Urban Shelter Ltd, Abuja
Electricity Distribution, Niger Resources, where he provided strategic
oversight and ensured compliance with environmental and regulatory standards.
Faruk holds a General Management Program and a Professional
Certificate in Applied Corporate Finance from the University of Cambridge, a
Master of Professional Studies in Real Estate Development from Georgetown
